T3 CyberTeacher Labs (3-Day Online Course)
Why Is T3 CyberTeacher Lab Needed? COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on children’s learning and wellbeing globally. Two in three children are still affected by full or partial school closures, with the poorest and most vulnerable children bearing the greatest brunt. Exceptional measures are needed to get students back on track after a catastrophic year for education (United Nations Education Report, 2021).
To meet this extraordinary challenge, today’s teachers and leaders must implement breakthrough teaching methods that reliably accelerate student learning. The T3 Framework for Innovation is a next-generation pedagogy that was synthesized from 5 decades of pioneering research by Dr. Sonny Magana. Compounding, peer-reviewed research evidence shows that the T3 Framework strategies have an effect size of 1.6 and higher—which is equivalent to quadrupling student learning. The T3 Framework for Innovation was recently inducted into the prestigious Oxford University Research Encyclopedia of Education.
What Is T3 CyberTeacher Lab? The Cyber Learning Lab is a series of three highly interactive experiential online workshops designed and facilitated by Dr. Magana. The T3 CyberTeacher Lab will accelerate teachers’ ability to implement T3 strategies and increase student learning and wellbeing in-person, online, and hybrid learning environments. Participants will also gain access to the online T3 Academy of self-paced learning modules, resources, and tools.
The T3 Framework Domains, Principles, Strategies and Protocols incorporates design thinking framework in a manner that is contextualized in the process of accelerating learning productivity in K20 school systems. For example, the T2 Transformational Domain contains two distinct and necessary principles, Production and Contribution, that scaffold students design thinking in the context of the curricula. The strategies help student to become more intentional at identifying current learning problems, investigating those problems, and imagining resolutions to those learning problems by designing new ways to represent and express their learning, and contribute to the learning of their peers.
The T3 Transcendent Domain carries this design process much further. The Principle of Inquiry Design contains strategies and protocols that expertly scaffold how students identify wicked, real-world problems that matter to them, investigate what is currently known about those problems, and then imagine new, ever-more robust solutions to those problems. The Principle of Social Entrepreneurship contains strategies and tools that guide students in the process of imagining, creating, beta-testing, and iteratively improving new digital products and services that solve wicked real-life problems that matter to them.
