Workshop Description

We are living in a time of rapid and constant change. An educator works in the present to shape the future.  Yet we can feel overwhelmed, confused and powerless as we try to cope with uncertainty and prepare our students for a future we can barely imagine. This workshop introduces you to The Story Model which is a transdisciplinary model that acts as a roadmap for personal and professional change.  Humans make meaning through storying. The assumption of the Story Model is that we each have the power to influence the future – to create a new story to live by. You will explore your own present story as it is set in the personal, cultural, global and universal contexts. As well, you will explore your perceived past and anticipated future. This workshop will encourage you to create a personal and professional life that is aligned to your values in multiple contexts. The workshop will be valuable for anyone who is wanting to change, anticipating a change, or in the midst of change.
